As revealed on the Team Fortress blog, two Spy unlockables have been divulged by way of a fake order form page on the site. The 'Dead Ringer' spy watch is a clever little contraption which is set to mislead many players. Activating the Dead Ringer will leave a 'fake' dead corpse of the Spy on the ground, while the 'real' Spy is cloaked for eight seconds, giving him enough time to move in for the kill undetected.
The second item unveiled was the 'Cloak and Dagger' spy watch. This item will grant its user with the ability to regenerate their cloaking device by standing skill. This item will have interesting ramifications on gameplay as being immobile will mean that the Spy is able to remain hidden indefinitely.
Valve has also finally divulged a release date for the update, stating that gamers will be able to play with their new toys from next Thursday, 21 May 2009.
