Team Fortress 2 Sniper update brings new game mode

PC News | Get your cart ready.
Valve has released a few more snippets of information relating to the upcoming Sniper update for Team Fortress 2, this time announcing a new game mode called "Payload Race."

The company describes the new mode as "gladiatorial cart combat," explaining that it will operate similarly to the current payload mode - the only difference being that both teams will be tasked with moving their cart simultaneously.

Also revealed was that the update will bring two new Arena maps to the game: Sawmill and Nucleus.

According to Valve, the update is scheduled to arrive in a matter of days.

That could be fun, an attack and defend style mode, when you are attacking and defending at the same time!

todays update is up- an anti backstab shield that zaps spies when they backstab you. catch is it slows you down and disintegrates into a million pieces after a single stab.

I hope there's some way for Spies to tell if Snipers are packing one of those shields =\

youd assume itll be visible on the snipers back judging by the size of it.

Like I said, I hope so. It's just other characters don't have weapons visible unless they're currently in use, which means new functionality. Valve aren't opposed to adding stuff like that though, it's just gonna be a bitch for spies if they don't =)
