Eidos hinting at new Thief game?

PC Rumour | Eidos-Montreal's website teases that it could be happening.

While far from being confirmed, it seems that rumours of a new game in the Thief series are gaining ground.

A new image has appeared on Edios Montreal's website, showing only a question mark and a promise that a new project is soon to be revealed. Immediately above the image is the following text:

"The two games [Eidos Montreal currently has] in development will resurrect successful franchises like Deus Ex and our next project soon to be revealed..."

But, what really seals the deal is that the promise in the image is written in the same font used by past Thief games. Oh Eidos, how you like to tease.

The Thief series first appeared in the 90s on the PC, and helped establish the stealth genre. The series was last seen in 2004, in the shape of Thief: Deadly Shadows.

Too late, it's called Dead Space.

Deus Ex was a successful franchise? Wasn't it an awesome game followed by one not many people bothered with (regardless of wether it was good or not)?

A new Thief game... I'm sure Yahtzee is having a panic attack right now.

I find Bioshock is an acceptable substitute for System Shock. There's no recent equivalent for Thief. Good news if true!

Thief one of my all time favourite games. Dead shadows was amazing when it was released I still play it today on PC.
It was my perfect game I am over the moon that the franchise could get another kick start.
