Call of Duty: World at War brings map pack to PC

PC News | And it's all free.
Treyarch has announced that the latest Call of Duty: World at War patch has gone live, taking the game up to version 1.4. The latest patch to the title sees the adding of some spit and polish to the multiplayer aspect of the game, as well as the belated inclusion of Map Pack 1 on the PC.

The map pack was released on consoles last month, a successful venture which saw over one million players happily hand over their dosh for the four additional maps during the first week of sale alone.

The full patch notes appear below:
  • 3 new Multiplayer maps: Knee Deep, Nightfire, Station!
  • Nazi Zombies map with more weapons, Perks-a-Cola machines, and electroshock defenses: Verruckt!
  • Improved spawning logic.
  • Auto balancing improvements. Players are no longer auto balanced while completing objectives.
  • Mods: IWD's can be placed in the usermaps folder.
  • Mods: Hold Breath / Sprint functions as intended.
  • Mods: MissingAssets.csv is generated when maps are run with developer set to 1.
  • Fixed lag caused by shooting at tanks.
  • All rifle grenades fired during the first 15 seconds of Search & Destroy will be duds.
  • Players who equip a Bouncing Betty and melee teammates in Hardcore game modes are now credited with a team kill penalty.
  • Players are now deducted 200 points for team killing the bomb planter/defuser in Hardcore Search & Destroy.
  • Martyrdom no longer causes direct impact deaths in Hardcore modes.
  • "Bayonet jumping" has been disabled.

Man, that's just piss weak on Treyarch's part.

CoD4 had them, sure, people complained but if you knew there were Tubes being fired into the well known areas in the first place, you'd take your time getting there so you miss all the fire.

i havent played that game since just before 1.2 patch came out, but played it again to see what the new maps were like, if they cut out the spam or people didnt play hardcore servers all the time it would be good, but knee deep is a really good map, might actually play it again for a few weeks again!
