New Project Offset footage released

PC News | Holy wow.
Project Offset has been one of those independent titles that has been lurking around for years, showcasing some amazing features. After being acquired by Intel, there was nothing but silence from the independent developers - that is, until now.

The developer has released a new tech demo named "meteor", showcasing a breathtaking display of post processing effects and incredible physics, which you can view here.

So we have a little teaser from them again, but now what? Fortunately for us, the game is apparently going to show its face much more quite soon, as the developer has stated on its official website.

So it's a wait and see affair, but unfortunately for us the wait is proving quite painful. Watch the website like hawks for more details soon.

Took me a while to recognise the game it's been so long since we've heard anything from these guys. I can't wait to see what this game ends up looking like.

It's definitely pretty. Is it actually a game though? I didn't think Intel was into games production. Hardware, software, tech demos, yes... Actual fun-to-play games though?

It's a game, just being funded by Intel, I think it was like 3 dudes started developing it a couple of years back and released some massivley impressive tech demos, then whent quiet for ages as they didn't have any funding.

The game (Well last time it was mentioned) was suposed to be a first person fantasy action game with giant fantasy armies assaulting castles that you had to defend and ****.

Wow, after a years silence... About time.

There's a second video on their website relating to Prefabs, and some new concept art to boot.

This game will beat everything we've seen in terms of graphics - just hope the plot and gameplay are equally impressive.

Sounds good to me! The name doesn't seem to fit very well with the fantasy theme though, sounds more SyFy? icon_wink.gif

I don't think thats the name of the actual game, just the tech.

^Actually, it's neither - it's the development codename.

I think the engine is called "The Offset Engine" though.
