The Weekend Steam

PC News | One for indie fans and those who like defending bases.
This week Steam has discounted only two titles, though that doesn’t necessarily mean there’s nothing of interest. The Weekend Deal is the Greatest Indie Pack, which has been slashed by 75% to give it a price tag of USD $9.99 (approx. AUD $15.59). Last but not least is Defence Grid: The Awakening, which is on sale for USD $14.99 (approx. AUD $23.52) until March 2nd.

The Greatest Indie Pack features five indie games to play. The final list includes Eets, Gravitron 2, I-Fluid, Multiwinia and Trials 2 Second Edition. Individually, the combined cost of these games is USD $44.95, so we think this is considerable value for your hard earned cash. You can be taken to the download page for more information on each title by clicking here.

Defence Grid: The Awakening is an old fashion tower defence game that’s set in a futuristic world. The aim of the game is simple enough – you have to defend your base from enemy forces by strategically building defence towers. There are 10 tower types to build, each one having a different impact on your defences such as increasing your line of sight or attacking enemies with ballistic trajectory fire. Supposedly the story mode has 8 hours of gameplay, and there is also a challenge mode on offer to keep you occupied for longer. You can be taken to the download page by clicking here.
