Battlefield 1943: Pacific in development?

PC Rumour | Announcement coming next week?
According to gaming blog Kotaku, listings have appeared on the official New York Comic Con website revealing that EA Games might have planned on announcing Battlefield 1943: Pacific next week at the event.

Unfortunately the listings have since disappeared, prompting questions as to whether EA or DICE wanted to remain silent about the announcement or if the companies will choose to unveil it at a later date. A Google cache actually reveals Battlefield 1943: Pacific postcards were going to be handed out to attendees, so it suggests an announcement isn't too far off regardless.

We'll report back once more details come to light.

According to this article, it's a multiplayer only title that will be available for download on XBLA/PSN, and will run on the Frostbite engine. There's also a trailer for it, plus more info.

There's also the first screenshot for Bad Company 2, and it looks pretty cool (sorry)

Well 1943 seems the true sequel to BF1942..but.
God damn i dont want to be using archaic military vehicles with their limitations.
Where is the true PC sequel to BF2?
I want an up to date version of this game, via the many mods of previous iterations with this game i have played i want them to truly pull something awesome out of their arse for this franchise to really wow the saddened people that stuck behind this franchise for so long...actually , now i think about it..the devs basically gave up on this game after listening to many whiners and patching it to the point that all you get are people so focused on flying their pin point accurate death machines from above(given I am one of those in a heli) but the jets , well those people are absolute freaks.
The original version was fine then they patched it to death and was so unbalanced that basically the kings of the skies ruled supreme and gave up totally on any more support even with their boards filled to the brim with hate for what they have done, like making a transport chopper (MEC) that has 2 mounted machine guns that equates to the same level of firing rapid firing nothings, it's an absolute joke.

I am not impressed at all, in fact after hearing this unless they re implement sea warfare(which might be on the cards?) nothing is going to really impress me, i think these people have milked this franchise dry, i can almost expect a maximum of 32 players or some BS as opposed to the originally stated pre release of BF2 of 100 players.

Gah i guess im just ranting but damn, for BF3 on pc i was expecting alot more.
Bloody cut n paste artists that they are.
As far as i am concerned i hope these DICE sellouts slam their ferraris into a spec op C4 laden hummer.

not happy at all, and after all this time too............

yea they did fail, with J10s out manoeuvring missles, and the phalanx on the essex being no where near as deadly as in rl. Even with the mobile aa, it should be a few hits with the main cannon and they should go down.

So it's NOT a pc game? That sorta sucks, but at the same time is pretty cool.
