World in Conflict: Soviet Assault coming to PC

PC News | Boom! Shake the room.
Ubisoft has announced today that it will be publishing World in Conflict: Soviet Assault for the PC in March this year. World in Conflict: Complete Edition, the retail version of the add-on to World in Conflict, will include the full original strategy title in addition to the Soviet Assault expansion and 'other exciting all-new features.'

We’re advised that those who already own World in Conflict will be able to download the Soviet Assault expansion pack online.

John Parkes, Marketing Director at Ubisoft EMEA says, “The teams at Massive Entertainment have worked hard to ensure that they are bringing new original content to the popular World in Conflict brand. Fans have been eagerly awaiting Soviet Assault, and Ubisoft is excited to be able to bring them great new material.”

The new material is said to include new characters, films and maps, and gameplay from the Soviet perspective.

What sets the difference between this title and the other RTS's??

^ Its more RTT (Real Time Tactics) than RTS. Theres no base building or resource collecting, its all about capturing and holding points, calling in re-enforcements and summoning super powers (air strike, carpet bombings, nukes, etc).

It is similar to the recent slew of Relic games in that way (Dawn Of War Series, Company of Heroes). If you like them, you'll love this. I know I do.

I be gettin this on Steam for sure.
