No, these screenshots have me convinced I'm not going to enjoy it icon_razz.gif

Well the game probably doesn't appeal to zombie shooting, alien stabbing, war inducing games that, I'd guess, a lot of the gamers here want to play.

Sims is an interesting game. Played it when I was younger, and it was actually quite difficult to play properly.

I'm impressed with the improvement in the graphics, although I suspect they would also put a lot more in the gameplay as well, meaning it'll be even harder to play trying to juggle even more things in the game.

looks pretty much like sims2 to me

Now there's a game - a relationship sim involving zombies and aliens!

Not interested in the slightest. Wasn't interested in Sims 1 or Sims 2 either.

The only thing I've ever played any Sims games for is to cheat for money and build a huge house, then kill the people by trapping them in tiny rooms or the pool. It wears off pretty quickly, which is why I don't own the game.

Only if it comes down to $15 like MySims did. icon_lol.gif

It's taglines like the one above which concerns me about PALGN. I know they apparently don't make much from this website but writing stuff like "You know you're going to buy it..." or "You'd be crazy not to buy it..." makes this site feel like a sell out to the publishers. I would hate for this site to go the way of IGN which is just one step short of kissing ass in all their coverage aside from the reviews. I don't expect PALGN to be a critical sookfest, just independent enough so we can trust their opinion fully. So in short... there's no need to tell us to 'buy' the game... the readers can make their own mind up and when you garner the trust of your readers they will click on the links anyway.

Just some constructive criticism.

So no one else read the sarcasm there? hehe

I think it was more a joke about how many copies these games sell Arbok, and how many similar expansion packs there are, that also sell ridiculously well.

I think the point is that even if this game looked like the last one, it would still sell a gazillion cause it's branded "Sims".

Yeah, pretty sure the Sims is always on the top of the video game selling lists, it was (much like every single other PalGN tagline EVER) a joke, and was meant to be taken as such but clearly the level of wit which has been rampant on this site since it's inception has suddenly been lost on people.

Go figure.

well yes I am going to buy it, maybe not for myself but my sister loves the sims

I think you might be able to call fable 2 a relationship sim with zombies (or a creature that is pretty much a zombie) no aliens though...

Yes. It was a joke about how ludicrously well it will sell. I think I've been getting into Brendan's line of humour too much icon_razz.gif

Seriously though people, chill, PALGN will never sell out in that fashion. If we like a game we like it, if we hate a game we hate it. Publishers have no influence over review scores or, to an extent, our content*.

*Well, they do send us review code and make all the cool competitions possible. icon_wink.gif

Looks like The Sims.

Best thing about The Sims was finding the custom charecters people put up on the net, how else could I have Mulder and Scully living next door to a Gundam and his Harrem of Sailor Scouts.

Also Scully was fucking the Gundam... I don't know I guess she's kinky like that.

I for one intend to purchase it. The Sims has always provided me with plenty of amusement, and I'm not about to let my status as a 'hardcore gamer' get in the way of that.
