That first image reminds me of a Enemy Territory (not quake wars) map...

Hope this turns out cool.

I like the design of that female jedi. but the graphics are meh atm

The graphics are never going to be that good. Like any MMO that wishes to sell, they need to target a wide range of consumers.

I'm interested to see how this one will turn out, it seems promising but sometimes promising games fail to hit the mark when they're released.

Reminded me of Jedi Knight in regards to how the other races outside of human looked, 3rd from the left, 5th screen is arguably a suped up Jedi Knight screen in almost every regard.

Truthfully I was expecting more environmental emphasis, destructables and ch ch ch chaaanges, so these screens are rather meh in what they don't show.

I presume it isn't free to play, right? I've just reinstalled the two KOTOR games and I'd be interested in this if it were free, but I long ago vowed never to pay more than once for a game >_>

Edit:"Pricing for Star Wars: The Old Republic will be determined and announced at a later date."

Well that answers that. Back to single player KOTOR for me.

It's $15 a month. Even if you have a casual job, that's like 1 hours work or less. It goes towards the servers and patch content. It's not like they are ripping you off.

Nahh. $15 a month is $15 a month too much for me.

If I pay $100 I don't want to pay again. And I won't icon_biggrin.gif

I'm guessing from your sig you have a gold x-box live account? Isn't that paying for your games more then once to play online?

True, but I'm confident if any copmnay can deliver a promise, it's bioware.*

Yeah true I have high hopes for this one, and Bioware have released many great games and this one is set to be another but only time will tell. However, I for one am eager to try it out when it's released; it should be a nice change from chain mail, goblets, dragons and claymores.

Crappy Graphics? Thats good! I might pick this up, MIGHT, if its more of a single Player MMO and holds what KOTOR 1&2 stood for. And if its free.

Always wonder why people coin the phrase single player MMO when in reality they're not looking for a MMO they're looking for a single player experience devoid of the whole Massive Multiplayer option, might as well be saying "I don't mind an MMO as long as I play by myself offline" just seems rather ridiculous to get excited about a MMO or desire to pick it up if you don't want what an MMO effectively stands for, which of course is Leeroy Jenkins supposedly. icon_biggrin.gif

My take on it would be wanting an MMO where it is possible to play solo rather than having forced grouping in order to progress. Being able to jump in and play immediately to me is much better than having to spend time finding the requiste number of other people for a dungeon (which in a guild might not be that long, but if you have to deal with randoms can end up with people having to leave early, ninja looters, bad class balance). Sure, there will be content that you'll miss out on as a solo player in a MMO, but you can still be a part of a massive game that doesn't feel empty, watch people dance naked on mailboxes, all the quality human interactions you don't get in a traditional single player game.

But then what's the point of it being an MMO to begin with when the point inherently is forced human interaction & team ups ala killing **** with mates? Inherently you still desire to play by yourself, you just then have random people wandering around in the game also that you won't then converse with unless you have to or are then bored to do the afore mentioned hijinks and epic lulz.

The point of an MMO is to grind and team up with others to beat the snot out of something for some larger point, not really to just go do your own thing while everyone strips naked and starts prancing to musical tunes coming from a bard.
