Atari officially picks up Ghostbusters

PC News | Atari confirms that Ghostbusters is officially in their lineup.
Confirming the rumour that had been circulating in the last week, Atari will take the publishing helm on the Ghostbusters title, one of the many games which was left in limbo following the Activision merger.

Phil Harrison, President of Atari parent company Infogrames Entertainment, was delighted with the move.

"Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a fantastic addition to Atari's global line-up in 2009. The title has built considerable anticipation and excitement among game fans for its high quality action and all-out mayhem. There's no more thrilling Ghostbusting experience to be had, short of building your own proton pack."

Although no specific release window has been pinpointed, gamers will be able to call the Ghostbusters sometime in 2009.

I'm glad someone picked up this title to be released, hopefully it's a decent release as well.

Thank god for that, I was great really hyped up for this game until Acti dropped it. The extra time to work on the game should make it even better (hopefully).

Sounds quite interesting. However, I can say to his day, I am still traumatized from playing Ghostbusters on the NES.
