New Company of Heroes title officially announced

PC News | No longer a rumour.

A couple of months after the rumour first surfaced, THQ has now confirmed that Relic is at work on another Company of Heroes title.

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor will be a standalone title which will be stuffed with three new single-player campaigns and new multiplayer modes out of the box, along with a host of new maps and units to try out. Tales of Valor will also include a new "direct-fire" feature, which is said to offer players "more tactical control of their units and more strategic options in-game."

Although it's a standalone piece of software, Tales of Valor will be compatible with the original Company of Heroes title as well as the standalone Opposing Fronts expansion.

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor is set for release in the second quarter of 2009.

I hope they introduce what is in another WWII RTS. When you select a unit, you hold down control and wherever you click, they shoot there, so with an M1 Garand you have to keep clicking to shoot, it's done really well.

It's an expandalone.

Soldiers, Heroes of WW2 i think the name was SAMBO110 (i have it and REALLY enjoyed it)

As for new COH news FANTASTIC !!!!!

Does that mean you need the previous games to unlock all factions like all past Relic titles?

i can't understand why they didn't throw in a new faction, theres plenty in ww2. not sure what the default factions for multi will be either. It's meant to include a german tiger ace campaign.

I liked the opposing fronts factions more than the original, hope this is good.

There'll be more sequels or a CoH2 eventually though, i think it's a money spinner amongst thq's IP.

Yep, that's it. I have a demo of it, but I saw it for only $10, which is a really good price.
