Reports out of Variety suggest that "sources close to the publisher" [Atari] have suggested that the game will be released next year to coincide with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the first Ghostbusters film.
The report also suggests that a licensing deal has been inked between Atari and Sony Pictures "to produce further Ghostbusters games should the first one prove successful."
