Sins of a Solar Empire expands

PC News | But only a little bit.
Stardock have revealed that a number of 'micro-expansions' are on the way for Sins of a Solar Empire.

The first micro-expansion, Entrenchment, adds new planetary defence platforms, minefields, sub-space inhibitors and a variety of other deep space knick-knacks that will be handy in repelling enemy attacks. Two other planned expansions will focus on diplomacy and introduce new ships and technologies.

In a move designed to avoid horribly unbalanced multiplayer matches, any benefits that a micro-expansion provides will only be available if all players in the game own the same expansion.

Entrenchment is due in late 2008. Each micro-expansion will cost US$9.95 and will be available through Impulse, Stardock's digital distribution system.
