Fallout 3 release date confirmed

PC News | Major launch planned.
Bethesda Softworks has just announced the official release date for their highly anticipated post-apocalyptic RPG, Fallout 3.

It will be available on retail shelves from October 31 in Europe, Australia and New Zealand (and October 28 in North America) for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Games for Windows (PC) platforms.

Many have been following the progress of the winner of E3 2008's Game Critics Awards 'Best of Show' through its classification issues, with some gamers concerned that we would not be seeing it released on Australian shores.

However, the recent announcement of an MA 15+ rating from the OFLC has today been followed up by a confirmed release date and talk of a major launch by Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks: “To meet the huge demand for this title by our fans worldwide, we are planning one of the biggest launches of any game released this year.”

Yay! I thought it was October 17, but they must have delayed it for the US release - cause heaven forbid we get it before the US.

Anyway, this is gonna be awesome.. cant wait.

Wouldnt hurt to come out here before the USA. For PS3 owners, it might be an incentive to not import.

while any delay sucks, i'm kinda glad the Aussie one did get pushed back to be inline with the recent UK delay.

just means i'll have less time i have to resist buying the local version while waiting for my import to arrive.
