The Witcher: Enhanced Edition coming in September

PC News | Now even witchier than before.
Today, Atari announced in a press release that the special edition of their Polish RPG for PC, The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, will be released in September across Australia and New Zealand.

According to the release, this improved version of the game has been developed in response to feedback provided by the games’ fans. It will include faster loading times, improved combat responsiveness and precision, as well as a re-working of the game's English script, with extensive amounts of voice-over being re-recorded specifically for this edition. Owners of the original game feeling left out by all of these enhancements will be able to download them as a free update from the game's official website.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition will also include a DVD bonus disc, which contains an adventure editor to allow fans to modify or create their own quests, as well as two new adventures featuring an extra eight quests. A documentary, soundtrack, map and short story by Andrej Sapkowski will also be included as extras in the 'luxury' embossed box set.

Awesome, I bought the original a few weeks ago and felt rather ripped off when I saw there's an enhanced edition comming out, but now I'm all good icon_biggrin.gif

I'm buying this game soon as I've finished playing some others I've got stacked up.

Are level editors really in demand by most game players? I imagine that less than 5% of people would ever bother designing levels yet it's included in so many games. I'd prefer Atari to save a dollar per box (and stay in business) and make it a download like the enhancements are. That's just me though.
