Can my system handle it? Hell no.

Please don't post any more of these jaw droppingly beautiful shots as I now feel very inadequate as a gamer.

Is it just me or do these graphics not look as good as the first Crysis. Also, won't this come to consoles, as crytek aren't making PC exclusives anymore.

I reckon it's just you, dude... have you actually looked at the terrain generation and the plant generation in these shots? The camera focus? It's incredible!

Yeah, the trees and terrain do look quite incredible. I guess it's just it's because with the first Crysis, it was the best looking game ever, but with this one it's not that big of a leap, if you know what I mean.

My problem with Crysis is absolutly gorgeous graphics.
Mundane and boring art direction.

I don't think the graphics are that great tbh. The game is more of a pain at the moment. It detects optimal settings as "high" but i still get quite a severe bit of laginess. probably because im running in 1680x1050 res. but really from a 9800gtx and e8400 i would of expected more. i tried to apply the TripleC mod but it came up with an error for some reason.

It is a good looking game but it isnt amazing...

Have you got AA on? It played fine on my PC (with AA off) at that resolution and I only have a 8800GT.

nah i dont.

and yeah its weird. I thought i would be able to play with all settings HIGH on that res and was very disapoined when it was lagging everytime a few enemies popped up on screen.

What OS? There is a fair difference in FPS (maybe around 5) between vista 32bit (worst) and xp 64bit (best).

64bit vista premium. I heard 64bit was worse on whirlpool?? thats good to know it is better.

64 bit is better for just about any application, especially if you have more than around 3GB of ram. Anything like video editing or games (well, games with large textures etc) can make use of the extra ram, and the 64-bit software allows better memory access for programs that implement it (Crysis is one of those programs).

omfg i can't wait for this. i just upgraded my PC, and it can handle crysis on VH with no LAG!! HELL YEH. ok no moew bragging. technically, the games overheads are going to be lowered so people with more average PC's can handle it on at LEAST medium. so i wont be able to show off anymore huh. also, Crysis 1 (hehe thats cool, its turning into a series) is coming to PS3 and perhaps Xbox 360, depending on how the new CryEngine will run on them. its in development though so fingers crossed!!
(PC Specs)

Intel QX9670
nVidia 9800 Gx2
4 gig RAM
500 GB HDD x2
Vista Ultimate 64 bit

and yes 64 bit is better for texturing, especially crysis

On Crysis I get an Average 43fps @ 1920x1200 Vista 64 DX10. All settings High except Post Processing and Texures which are set to Very High. If Warhead runs even faster I will be in raptures.

No silly, that's Bioshock.

End of the year I'm beefing up my PC again, complete overhaul of my case (including the case) so it should be interesting. One thing is for certain, when I upgrade i'm getting a Foxconn MB again, this thing runs rings around everything in terms of features and capabilities.
