E3 2008: First Prince of Persia trailer hits the internet

PC News | Looking like a game worthy of a prince.
The first trailer has gone live showing off the visual splendour that gamers can expect to witness in the highly-stylised next chapter of the Prince of Persia saga.

As well as showing off the large game world - which in itself contains a striking similarity to the expansive world of Assassin's Creed, the trailer also depicts some of the game's combat in action as well as the high flying acrobatic abilities of the 'prince' and his AI controlled companion Elika.

As said in the E3 thread on the general game discussion board. This trailer is THE ****. I seriously could not be more pumped for this.

Not a huge fan of the J-Pop music, but I do think the graphics suit the game.

After Sands of Times my interests in the Prince of Persia games dropped especially after being dissapointed with Warrior Within and The Two Thrones. Initially i was interested with the new one as i loved the art direction but after watching that trailer, i'm hyped!

That trailer didn't sell me. Until the very end. When the vibrant colours started popping up, I actually gain interest. Looking beautiful, but I still doubt Ubi after being so disappointed with Assassin's Creed, and I was hyped for that one.

The visuals are very impressive. Lets hope the gameplay matches them.

J-Poop? Nay, that'd be Sigur Ros... so 'I-Post Rock' perhaps? Doesn't quite have the same ring to it, really icon_razz.gif

Ubi seem to have taken a step towards film-trailer / music video styling for their trailers of late - and I totally dig that. The Unkle + Assassin's Creed trailer was hot, and this one lives up to the standard set IMO.

Game looks great, I'm keen, what else is there to say?

so purty...
really diging the art direction, platforming looks good too. lovin the tune in the trailer aswell.
like to see more of the combat though, i was a little disapointed when they said you'd only be fighting one enemy at a time. Even if there going to up there AI and fighting style, i'd like to see mutliple enemies at once.

i wouldnt call that music j-pop. It's probably not even japanese. It might be like persian or something to suit that setting. Its nice to see that the game graphics do not aim for realism, but rather, a drawn texture.
