The site essentially aims to make classic PC games available via digital distribution, with all games being tweaked to work on both Windows XP and Vista and with all DRM removed. Games will cost either US$5.99 or US$9.99, and signing up for the beta should net you at least one freebie.
The service is the brainchild of CD Projeckt, best know as developers of The Witcher. They appear to have large chunks of both Interplay and Codemaster's back catalogues sewn up, with such titles as Fallout 2, MDK and Operation Flashpoint featuring on the front page.
In an interview with Shacknews, CD Projeckt's Tom Ohle also states that they have a keen interest in getting their hands on the LucasArts adventure classics, as well as 'holy grails' like Tie Fighter and X-Wing and pretty much any other PC game that's fondly remembered by the gaming community.
The full website is due to launch in September 2008.
