Forthcoming Age of Conan update detailed

PC News | We're on a road to warfare.
Age of Conan developer Funcom has issued a statement containing a list of planned changes and modifications to the recently launched PC MMO, Age of Conan.

Included in the future plans are a "massive new PvP update" -- which is due in late June, as well as new social features, the opportunity for bigger battles with Guild Alliance Warfare, new areas to explore, and the most boggling inclusion of all -- a combo-based dance system which has been "entirely motion captured by professional dance artists".

Game Director Gaute Godager is pleased with the game's launch -- which has seen a flood of players flock to the game -- but explained that the incredibly large update will keep the player base coming back for more.

"We know that a solid launch is but the start when it comes to the MMO genre. What we are presenting today will evolve Age of Conan even further. It's naturally an incredibly ambitious update plan for a live MMO game, but we are certain our players would want nothing less."

Age of Conan is available in stores now.

Not having a go at SYTYCD - just don't think the sight of barbarians showing off their unwashed, be-skirted bodies is anything that any sane person would want to see...

Are you ever going to announce the winners of the Conan contest? icon_razz.gif

Is that a Talking Heads reference Kimberley?

Even though MMO's dont interest me, i'll subscribe to the game if it features barbarian clans fighting not via the cold hard steel of the sword, but in a freestyle showdown dance-off akin to the video clip of Run DMC's 'It's Like That'..

Perhaps this is what Funcom mean when they say they intend to take PVP in Conan to a whole new level? Being able to control a breakdancing barbarian in order to take home the ultimate honour and glory? Sheet! I'd pay to see that. icon_wink.gif
