Warhammer Online Collector's Edition Announced for Australia

PC News | With pricing, content, and an incentive to pre-order.
Electronic Arts have announced that the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Collector's Edition would be available in Australia, with pre-orders available through select Australian retailers today. The Collector's Edition will be limited to 6,000 copies, a dangling carrot made more appealing by the additional exclusives for pre-orders: access to the Open Beta, early access to the live game, and two in-game items, 'Rittenbach's Portable Camp', and 'Sentinel's Amber Band'.

The Collector's Edition, which has an Australian RRP of $129.99, includes an exclusive miniature ("Grumlok and Gazbag"), a graphic novel ("Prelude to War"), an Art Book, and bonus in-game content, including quests and character customization.

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is scheduled for release later this year and is now available for pre-order at EB Games, Harvey Norman, GAME, Dick Smith Electronics, JB Hi-Fi, GamesMen, Games Warehouse and "select independent retailers".

The EB Games website has it for $149.95. icon_confused.gif

I wonder how many hoops I will have to go through to get JB HiFi staff to acknowledge the deal.

I bought the Pre-Sell Pack from D-store the other day which includes the "access to the Open Beta, early access to the live game, and two in-game items, 'Rittenbach's Portable Camp', and 'Sentinel's Amber Band'." for $20 but they have told me that purchasing the pre sell pack is not an indication of securing a preorder as they have no details in the system about Warhammer Online apart from the Pre Sell pack. So those wanting to get in early without purchasing the Collector's edition do have an option.

Scrav, the extra $20 is for the Pre sell pack that includes open beta etc ;p.

It should secure a CE edition, because you are essentially preordering it. I know at JB-HIFI they preordered the CE for me after I purchased the presell pack, and if you enter the code online in the Mythic Beta centre, it lists your account as 'Preorder for CE edition.'

I asked them directly through email and they said know, yes it says preorder ce edition on the mythic site, but dstore have told me that I do not have a preorder with them and they do not have the Warhammer Online Collectors or Standard editions in their databases and therefore can not give out preorders. It's weird I know, but Im happy to have open beta access.

To qualify...the preorder thing costs $20 which then guarantees you the CE for a futrher $130.

Every retailer is getting equal amounts of both products and your invoice should show both products unless they decide to bundle them together for $150.

Hrm... I preordered it a couple weeks ago at EB (after reading about it in another thread here) and EB said it would be $130 (I put $10 down). I wonder if they'll jack the price up on me... in reference to the post above, my receipt says "warhammer o/l ltd pc". I never got a "preorder pack" or anything...

Just preordered with Games Warehouse, $150 no choice but to get another pre order pack. My brother is paying me $20 and getting that one, so I guess ill get someone to party and adventure with!
