Everyday Shooter Makes it Way onto Steam

PC News | Today's the day!
The indie darling that was previously exclusive to the PlayStation Store is ready to get Steam user's art glands pumping. After grabbing a slew of awards Everyday Shooter made it's way to the Sony's download service, the title created by one man is set to weird up PC's for the first time.

Having a solo developer holds the game back from having sprawling worlds and enough polygons to sink a ship, but what it lacks in grand scope it more than makes up for in providing an incredibly interesting take on the dual stick shooter. Marrying influences from Geometry Wars and Rez, Everyday Shooter's gameplay allows the player to influence the music as the fire wildly at the abstract foes.

As you read these words the game is available on Steam for a mere $8.99.

Not sure how well this would control without the dual-analog setup but the game is amazing. I bought the PSN version the day it came out in the US and it's by far my favorite PSN game to date. The music is amazing!

It controls fine with keyboard/mouse - I played it back when it on display at ACMI late last year like that and had a ball. You lose a little freedom of movement, naturally, but it can also be a little easier to make small precise movements via the keyboard. Standard trade-off.

Wish I'd waited to get it on Steam rather than PSN though. Oh well.
