New Hellgate: London content emerging

PC News | Stonehenge Chronicles going live on January 21.
The official Hellgate: London site bears news of fresh content going online on Monday, January 21, in which subscribers to the action-RPG will be able to 'explore new environments, conquer new demons and find more phat loot'.

The setting is Stonehenge, 'or what’s left of it', and players will gain access to 'completely new open, outdoor wilderness areas unlike anything seen within the city limits of London'. New enemies and items will also be available, some of which will apparently be 'very distinct in their appearance'.

Three significant new areas will be introduced with the new content, including The Wild, as described here:
'These three mini-raid areas present players with difficult obstacles but also huge rewards with three levels that get increasingly more difficult even with the recommended full party size – you will need a small army to get through these challenges.'

Also included in The Stonehenge Chronicles are improvements to the game's interface, fixes for some balancing issues and an area for Player vs Player duelling. It will also allow Hellgate: London subscribers to pay their subscription fees using PayPal and PayByCash.

This instalment of new content is the first of the Hellgate Chronicles, an ongoing series of goodies to be released only to subscribers. Hellgate: London is a fast-paced RPG in the same vein as Diablo and Dungeon Siege, but with the emphasis on cooperating with other players in an MMO-style environment.
