Taken out of the popular Pikmin games on the Gamecube, Olimar has been officially added to the absolutely massive roster filled with video-game legends. Not much information has been given, except that to access Olimar's special abilities, players will need to literally pluck his Pikmin out of the ground first. In fact, they will be required even for his basic Smash Attack, and the Pikmin tend to scatter as well, adding some extra strategy to the mix.
It's likely that there will be more new character announcements before the game is released, and we can't wait to see what's in store for what is one of the most anticipated games of 2008.
