Pop for WiiWare announced

Wii News | We have the exclusive first details and screens of the Australian developed game.
PALGN is pleased to exclusively reveal a new title for Nintendo’s upcoming WiiWare service, Pop. Pop is currently in development by new game developer Nnooo (pronounced No!), the developer is located in Australia and Pop is the first confirmed Australian developed title on the Wii Ware service.

Popis designed to be enjoyed by all ages. The idea for the game is to pump up the bubbles using the Wii remote to create bigger explosions. The game is easy to pick up and play but requires a bit of skill, so skilled players will get a lot of enjoyment from Pop. The official website for Pop can be found at Pop-Game.Net.

Based on the headline I thought this was a Prince Of Persia (PoP) game, maybe a classic 2d remake for the Wii. I was a little let down when I clicked the link. icon_sad.gif Oh well.

Conversely, I thought this was a cheap Singstar knockoff featuring a kaleidoscope of colours and terrible song covers. So I was pleasantly surprised when I clicked the link. icon_razz.gif

I get to say that I've aleady played the current version and find it great fun.
The developer is a friend of mine and a few of us were round playing it the other week...couldn't put it down.

At first you think 'yeah I'll get bored of this', thirty mins later me and my mate were going nuts trying to outdo each other. icon_biggrin.gif
