New Disaster: Day of Crisis screens released

Wii News | Looking...interesting.
With the recent cancellation of the promising Project H.A.M.M.E.R., many had begun to speculate that other Wii projects had been axed by Nintendo in favour of titles aimed towards the casual games market. One particular title that was mentioned was Disaster: Day of Crisis, which had only made a brief appearance at E3 2006.

Earlier today however, Nintendo put fears to rest by releasing three new screenshots of the game, all of which can be viewed in our media panel below. At this stage not too much information has been revealed about the game although it is known that players will need to stay alive through various natural disasters. Disaster: Day of Crisis is expected to release in 2008.

I hope for the sake of PALGN you're referring to the game play elements and not those screens in the media panel. Nintendo; lowering the bar of graphical complexity since December 7th 2006.

I used to be excited about this game, but it's slowly turning into a bad graphics shoot em up terrorist game.

I remember the PS2 8 years ago, same story.

The game doesn't suit me, but if it bases itself around running from disasters over shooting people then I like it.

I want to be running from disasters while shooting people, nothing is more hardcore than battling a flood and crazy dudes.

The graphics are atrocious, but I like the idea of the game, so I'll get it still.

Keep the "disaster" - surviving nature is good. Just loose the guns & the bad guys in my opinion- choose one not both.

As for the graphics... they suck but after playing it for an hour you will normalise to it provided the gameplay can hold your interest. It's heads & shoulders above SOS Final Escape on PS2 and that game was sort of OK.
