Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Olympic events revealed

Sega has confirmed the full list of events that will feature in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, an Oympic Games title based on the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is the first time the past rivals have teamed up together in a game.

The full list of events in the game include:

Fencing
Archery
Shooting - Skeet
Gymnastics - Trampoline
Gymnastics - Vault
Field - High Jump
Field - Pole Vault
Field - Long Jump
Field - Triple Jump
Field - Javelin Throw
Field - Hammer Throw
Rowing - Single Sculls
Table Tennis - Singles
Aquatics - 100m Freestyle
Aquatics - 4x100m Freestyle
Track - 110m and 400m Hurdles
Track - 4x100m Relay
Track -100m and 400m

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games is due out on the 23rd November in Australia.

Doppel: yeah there may be no Beach Volleyball with short-shorts, but what about all the other tight clothes in gymnastics, field etc etc?

I can honestly see a spin-off Sonic / Mario crossover title in the works if this game does well enough. Bowser allows his Koopa army to be roboticised(sp?) by Robotnik..

Can you imagine Super Sonic (the giant variety) after taking a mushroom and tearing through the place at high speed? Or Luigi harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to become Hyper Luigi... I cant, really.. but it's nice to throw around ideas.

if sonic were to be involved in more nintendo shinanigans they wouldn't dare let them hang around mario and friends, they'd probably first try to find a unpopular nintendo franchise and buddy it up with sonic. *ponders*

or throw him into brawl, that could work.
