Nintendo Wii and G1 Jockey winners announced

Wii Competition | Did you get lucky at the races?
A few weeks ago PALGN ran a competition in conjunction with THQ to win a Nintendo Wii and a copy of G1 Jockey Wii for the Nintendo Wii. We asked you to nominate a real horse race and then come up with a fictional name for your race horse and the odds you think the bookies would place on you and why.

We're pleased to announce our lucky winner of the Nintendo Wii and G1 Jockey Wii is BovineDeath from our forums, aka Chris M who answered "I would call the horse "My Wife", the odds would be pretty good, say even money as she usually comes first so long as the riders form is up to scratch. As far as tracks go, there's nothing wrong with Cowra Racecourse!"

Five lucky runnerups have also won a copy of G1 Jockey Wii, the five lucky runnerups are:

James T of ACT:
Race: Canberra Black Opal Stakes
Horse Name: Workchoices
Bookies Odds: I'm sure the horse is actually dead and will have to be scratched. The government have tried to flog it but it aint moving.

Sheridan S of QLD:
Horses name : Boris The Chicken Spider
Racing Event : Melbourne Cup
Winning Odds : 6 - 1
Why : Well what would you get if you crossed a chicken with a race horse?
- A hen that lays winning odds.

Deb M of QLD:
My horse, Funny Girl, is inspired by my favourite singer, Barbra Streisand. She is the 4 to1 favourite in the Kentucky Derby because all the bookies know she will win by a nose!

Noeleen M of VIC:
I nominate the “Prince of Wales’ Stakes” at Royal Ascot. The bookies would give me even money that my race horse “Camilla’s Joy” would be ridden well in Charley’s race.

Jason C of NSW:
Name: Chuck Norris
Race: Caufield Cup
Odds: 99-1
Reason: Everyone knows this is just a fools entry and not to waste money on this old has been who couldnt roundhouse his way out of a paperbag at his old age let alone make the distance.

Congratulations to all of our winners and BovineDeath from our forums. PALGN would like to offer our thanks to Koei and THQ for the brilliant competition and prizes. Stay tuned to PALGN as we'll be bringing you more competitions shortly.

Nah, she had a bit of a laugh at the answer and she's pretty stoked about having a current-gen Nintendo. Some of the only games that she likes are Mario games, so we should have a lot of fun on it together.
I'm actually at the Nurse's residence at Dubbo for one more week before I go home, but my folks picked the prize up for me. Can't wait to go home and play it! icon_biggrin.gif
I have a 3 year old son, so if I duct tape the wiimote to his hand, he can play with us too! icon_wink.gif
