Virtual Console updated

Wii News | Three more games added.
Nintendo has once again updated the Virtual Console, you can now buy three more games on the Wii Shopping Channel.

Wrecking Crew and Lunar Pool were originally released on the NES and are now available for 500 points. Wrecking Crew was originally released in 1985 and is a puzzle title where you play as Mario, who must destroy certain objects in a vertically scrolling level. Lunar Pool is a pool title (you don't say?) which was also originally released in 1985.

And for Turbografx (of which Australia is now 100% caught up with Europe) we have Neutopia which is available for 600 points. Neutopia is an action-RPG, that is very reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda.

Huzzah. Back to the crappy VC updates...

Where oh where is Super Metroid?!?

Next few weeks we will probably see it pick up. We tend to see one or 2 crappy weeks followed by some good ones

I think they'll wait until just before the release of Metroid Prime 3 before Super Metroid, maybe 2-3 weeks before

zombibubonik, I hope that you're wrong.

I need my Super Metroid fix, I was so pumped about it possibly coming out today, then I was disappointed when this rubbish came out.

All we can hope for is that we see some good releases next week.

(I suppose it's lucky that Super Metroid didn't come out as I have no points to spend anyway.)

Also Castlevania 64 was a sweet game.

As for the updates, yeah they're lame. I think zombibubonik's right, they'll release Super Metroid just before Prime 3, like they did in the US.

Why?

Have we had anything in the same week as the US?

Did you have any other reason to think it was set to be released?

Why do you think that would be? Personally I think there are many haters because it genuinely sucks. PoR is enough a Castlevania hit for me right now icon_biggrin.gif

Castlevania 64 was a good update of the original, better than any of the other 3D efforts. The Villa level ruled!
