The game will use both the nunchuk and the Wii remote in a similar fashion to the tennis game found in Wii Sports. The nunchuk will control movement whereas the remote will control whether or not you actually hit the ball over the net. The game will support up to four players with singles, doubles, mixed and non mixed matches available. Exhibitions and tournaments will also be included with more than 12 real life Tennis stars featuring in the game. Party games will also be included.
Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K, said: "We are excited to bring our popular Top Spin series to the Wii. Given the Wii’s unique controllers and the fun family-oriented gameplay, Top Spin Tennis effectively bridges the gap between a sports and a party game."
