LGC 07: Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity announced

Wii News | Take Two.
Whilst the original Sonic Riders was a rather beautiful looking game the actual gameplay was pretty average, Sega has decided to take a second shot with the franchise though and has announced Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity for the Wii and PlayStation 2.

The game will once again let players take control of Sonic and friends as they race around. The game will be set aside from its predecessor by unique gravity moves which you'll be able to use in the game.

Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of marketing at SEGA of America commented on the game's announcement, stating that "Speed and agility is what built the Sonic franchise. Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity offers long-time Sonic fans, and newcomers alike, the adrenaline-pumping gameplay and moves that made the blue hedgehog famous, while adding a plethora of completely new elements to the Sonic world. Packed with new and innovative features, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity delivers a rush that gamers can't resist."

Being a complete Sonic ho you'll know that the original Riders wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. Certainly not F-Zero but a lightning fast racer none the less, and it had NiGHTS AND Ulala in it *creams pants*! If SEGA can tighten up the formula this should fill the void until Captain Falcon takes to the track again!

They mean the "Super Sonic Spin Attack" and the "Spin Dash," right?
