Virtual Console update

Wii News | An RPG awaits your points.
It’s Friday and once again, Nintendo Australia have updated the Wii’s Virtual Console. This week retro-gaming fans can purchase the SNES RPG classic, Breath of Fire II for 800 points, and the NES sports title, Volleyball for 500 points.

For those that weren't aware, earlier this week, we also reported that four TurboGrafx-16 titles had appeared in the Wii Shop after the 3.0 firmware update. They include Air Zonk, Bloody Wolf, China Warrior and Dragon Spirit and all are available for 600 points each.

Breath of Fire II is a pretty damn good RPG.

So they've released the sequal before the original... I guess this means that it doesn't follow on from the first one otherwise it might be a bit hard to follow the story.

They released Mario 64 before Super Mario World, I think thats why I didn't understand the story icon_confused.gif

Nah, if anything the Breath of Fire games feel more like a retelling of the same story. That's not to say they're all the same but they all have the same feel to them, and crossover characters. Brilliant game though, everyone with a Wii needs to download it.

I more meant that, as an RPG, there is the possibility of the story continuing into the second game to an extent.

Pretty much everyone knows that Mario doesn't have an over-arching storyline, apart from 'save the princess'.

Did Australia ever get the first BoF?

Can't say that I saw it.

Will have to research.
