E3 2007: Mario Galaxy US dates, screenies revealed

Wii News | Bee there or bee square.
While still no PAL release dates have been made available beyond "Q4", we at least now know Super Mario Galaxy will be shipping in North America on November 12th, 2007. Featuring the new Tanooki suit, Mario's stinging up a storm in his brand spanking new Bee suit, shown in the screenshots below.

With a two-player mode that allows the second player to provide support by freezing enemies, destroying traps, and collecting powerups / gems, Super Mario Galaxy is rapidly looking like one of the "must have" titles for the Wii - as if you didn't know that already.

Check out the screenies below, and keep your eyes open for a hands-on from our man on the ground.

This game looks masterful. I truly believe its one of the only few games this generation that will reach near the 10 score.

Its sad to see a game this stunning get overshadowed by Brawl.

The game looks hectic with its ever-changing environments.

I think that Galaxy is the first game that I've seen in a while now that simply screams out "I'm fun! Play me!". And the colours! The sheer amount of games that restrict themselves to a subdued palette really make games like Galaxy stand out.

Ahhh... between this and Prime 3, my Wii will be getting a heavy work out around the end of the year.

I cant wait, with the lack of online multiplayer in Metroid (despite I am looking forward to it) this is the 2nd game to look forward to on the Wii (Brawl obviously always takes priority icon_wink.gif )

I really like the graphical style they've chosen to go with. It doesn't scream "OMGPOLYGONKOUNT", but it's really clean and elegant looking.

It's probably the game that will make me pick the Wii up.

Bee Suit Mario is awesome. Great animations too.

If only more Wii games looked like this, then there wouldn't be many complaints. Did you see the fur shading on the queen bee?... amazing. More games need fur shading these days.

This game looks so awesome but confusing at the same time. I hope its better than Super Mario Sunshine. Don't get me wrong sunshine was fun but it got boring after a while.
