The press release details that there will be more than 15 different land, sea and air missions where the goal is to destroy every last enemy ship while at the same time growing your own via the said absorption function. Ships can also be upgraded in the "Hanger", presumably the game's hub, where players can customise "weapons, propulsion systems and armour." Apparently, the Wii remote will be used to mimic an anti-aircraft gun when their hanger is being bombarded by enemy fire. Co-op play for two people has also been confirmed.
“Gamers can literally build their own shooter experience via Blast Works’ easy-to-use, multiple in-game editors,” said John Merchant, Marketing Manager, Majesco Europe. “This exceptional customisation combined with the unique “stickiness” of enemy debris and bright geometric graphics delivers a standout game that never plays the same way twice.”
Blast Works: Build, Fuse & Destroy is currently scheduled for a release sometime in 2008. We'll report back once more information becomes available.
