Boogie dated for Australia

Wii News | Coming just after the US version.
EA has confirmed via a press release that Australian gamers will get Boogie on August the 30th. By way of comparison Americans get the game on August the 7th and Europeans will be able to boogie on August the 24th.

Boogie will feature a packed in microphone and feature tracks made popular by The Jackson 5, Kool & The Gang, M.C. Hammer, The Village People, Cyndi Lauper and Britney Spears.

“We have assembled a great selection of music for the game that will appeal to players of all ages, making this dancing and karaoke game the ultimate party package for the entire family,” said Alain Tascan, Vice President and General Manager, EA Montreal. “Wii is expanding videogames to untapped markets pulling in a new audience of gamers that typically did not play games in the past; Boogie will give these diverse players something new to enjoy as well as share with their friends and family.”

The new trailers make it look kind of fun. If they advertise it properly it could be a big hit, ala Singstar.

Some of those artists sounds like lots of fun. The Jackson 5 (motown, here I come!) especially.

The pictures make it seem bright and fun, and remind me of Wind Waker (but with more animals).

It is really thrilling that we only have to wait a few after the US gets it to receive it. I never thought I'd say this, but more companies need to take note of what EA are doing.
