2007 Wii first party line-up officially announced
Wii News | All the big guns this year - at least in Japan.

More and more info is coming from translations of the Nintendo press conference held a few days ago, where Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced that the company has 45 Wii games in the pipeline. And now, some officially released financial documents, translated by IGN, have revealed the 2007 Japanese release plans for the company. While many games are still listed as TBA (such as Animal Crossing Wii), Nintendo seems confident enough to at least stick a year next to the following games, which have now been officially dated 2007:
- Donkey Kong Taru Jet Race (Paon) - June 28, 2007
- Wii Health Pack (EAD) - 2007
- Disaster: Day of Crisis ( Monolith) - 2007
- Mario Party 8 (Hudson Soft) - 2007
- Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (NST) - 2007
- Wii Music (EAD) - 2007
- Super Mario Galaxy (EAD) - 2007
- Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Smash Recruit) - 2007
- Battalion Wars II (Kuju) - 2007
- Forever Blue (Akira) - 2007
- Mario Strikers Charged (Next Level) - 2007
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Retro Studios) - 2007
- Mario and Sonic at the Olympics (SEGA) - 2007
So it seems the big three (Mario, Metroid, Smash Bros.) are still on track for a release this year, at least in Japan. We'll have to wait for confirmation for PAL releases, but it seems likely the larger games at least will be ready in time for Christmas.
