ONM responds to NiGHTS rumours

Wii News | Clear as mud.
One of the Official Nintendo Magazine team members, Chandra, has responded on the ONM forums to the speculation about a possible version of NiGHTS for the Wii.

They apparently don't like making fun of their readership, and this definitely isn't an April fool's joke. It is a new game, and it may be announced officially before the publication of the next issue. However, it may or may not be NiGHTS - Chandra suggests that there are many other characters that fit into the star pattern. Specifically, the Family Guy and Woody Woodpecker. Apparently. If you squint.

So, with that (painfully unclear) clarification, we continue to wait with baited breath to see what will be announced over the upcoming weeks. It is interesting to note, however, that it seems Chandra deliberately chose specifically not to mention "NiGHTS" anywhere in the post. Deliberate misinformation, or a news embargo? Time will tell.

It is clear as crystal, you stole fizzy lifting drink.

Back on point. Why was this such a cult hit? Was it really that good or was it just imaginative?

The game was really in its element especially with the saturn analogue controller. Not so much with a standard controller.

Also until you get the 'gist' of the game down it can be a very awkward experience, but once you get to the point where you are flying around levels looping etc at a crazy pace perfectly that's when it truly shines.

Was great back in the day (albeit way too short) and is good to hear it may be back!...maybe.

It did look like fun in vids I saw. NiGHTS on Wii might be a blind purchase for me. icon_smile.gif

NiGHTS was indeed FUN

As long as its a return of a former big Sega francise I would be happy, my head would explode if it turned out to be Shenmue III

NiGHTS I think would have potential
