Scarface: The World is Yours Wii images revealed

Wii News | Looks... Interesting.
It may have been more than a month since Scarface: The World is Yours was officially confirmed to be coming to the Wii, but Vivendi has finally provided us with some of the first images of the game in action.

Scarface: The World is Yours is essentially a port of the console versions which were released late last year, but the game will include a few Wii specific enhancements, so if you like pretending you're killing somebody with a chainsaw, then this may be the version for you.

Scarface: The World is Yours first debuted late last year, and our general opinion was that it was rather enjoyable. To get an idea of what Wii owners have to look forward to later this year be sure to take a glance at our review of the PS2 version.

God those graphics suck.

Come on, first The Godfather and now this. Are we really going to have to wait until the PS2 is well and truly over with before developers start to put in even the slightest bit of effort?

Hey. I finally made my first post. I joined way back in August but it turned out I had nothing to say for 6 whole months.

Not really. The XBOX version looked like a bad PS2 game and I'm guessing the PS2 version looked like a N64 game. So the Wii version looking like a bad XBOX game is about right.

Also, if you don't have anything positive or constructive to say, don't post.

FIrst off welcome to the forums.

I agree totally. These companies that keep on doing PS2 ports, wont sell games and when they wont sell they will wonder why. They will blame it on Nintendo, saying like Gamecube, people are only buying Nintendo titles and drop support, when they don't realize to generate sales for this, they need to think differently, release either a good sequel from the ground up or new franchises

*sigh* I've said it before, and I'll say it again... just because Wii owners don't care as much about the graphics in a game, it doesn't mean that game developers can push out a fresh turd in the graphics department. And, so far, many of the third-party game controls are tacked-on or just generally s**t, which doesn't help. Considering the PS2 and Xbox versions of the games weren't exactly graphics powerhouses, either, the one thing a Wii version could do better is to have enjoyable and solid controls. If this isn't met, you might as well shoot the game down now.

That game looks awesome. Gears of War has nothing on this gem.

Sigh, not looking good. I've got the PC version and it looks half decent, at least we know they have some decent assets to work off, they just aren't using it.

I think there is a running joke within third party developers where the company that makes the arsiest looking game gets a free dinner or something.

It's the start of the life-cycle for a new, insanely fast selling, and cheap to develop for console. There sren't many games on the market, so people are buying whatever there is that comes out for the time being.
Hence lots of half-arsed, lazy ports are being rushed out to make some quick bucks.

Wow, just wow. Bad graphics ahoy. *sigh* sounds like what we will be expecting for the next year on most Wii titles.

I think everyone is missing the point of these shots. It's not that it looks like the devs put next to no effort in upgrading the visuals for the Wii, it's the fact that there is a screen shot of a torso with a fountain of blood spurting from the spot where the head should have been. This is a Nintendo console remember? Teh Mature!!
