Super Paper Mario to debut in April

Wii News | According to official mag.
Nintendo Power (lest we forget, the official publication of Nintendo of America) is reporting that Super Paper Mario is destined to appear on the Wii in the US this April. It's the first time that a date has been publicly attached to the title, yet confusion still reigns over which platforms it will be appearing on - whilst the Wii version is a given, Nintendo's North American site also lists a GameCube version, the Japanese site fails to acknowledge a Cube release for the game.

The game's press site has still yet to post the release date, though the official nature of the source means we're hopeful. More as it arrives, anyhow - in the meantime, head to our preview.

Even if that article is accurate, don't hold your breath. Do not forget Excite Truck, Trauma Center, Super Swing Golf and Elebits were launch titles in the States and we haven't even got them yet (Super Swing and Trauma Center we do not even have rough estimates for)

An April release would be very nice. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long for it to make an appearnace in PAL regions.

I hope it's released in May or June. April is Elebits month for me. Needless to say, I hope it's released around the same time here as the US.

A key factor for delayed PAL releases is due to stock shortages.

Only one of those titles is first party though, and it's not far off.

You never know, currently there's plenty of $50 GameCubes at EB stores around the country. They might do another special deal, although it'll depend if the US gets a GCN version.
