if anyone was waiting for some moron to come along and actually try purchasing from both stores, then that moron has arrived.

bought 3000 points from the Au Store, then changed the settings to UK, bought Bomberman 93 on their store, changed my settings back to Australia, bought Golden Axe.

no dramas what-so-ever. icon_y1.gif

it is, however, more expensive to buy the points from the UK store, so buy them on the Au site before spending them. (tip for UK members wanting to save a few pounds too. 1000 points is equal to ~6 pounds on Au store, as opposed to 6.99 pounds on your store.)

Gotta watch out for exchange rate fees from your credit card company too, but they wouldn't be a whole pound, surely... Good work obs!

Better titles avaliable than Xbox Live Arcade I guess, I think they should have started with more though, I am dissapointed with lack of other Sonic games, Super Mario World 1 & 2 and Ristar

Just thinking about changing your country for VC.
Could it be possible to perhaps switch to a region where Wii Points are cheaper?
So you could go to Japan, and buy Wii Points from the Japan store.
2000 points = 2000 Yen = ~22 AUD

You can only select from the list, which is of PAL countries only. You could change to Lesotho and see if it's cheaper in Lesothobucks(tm) but I don't think you'll have much luck icon_smile.gif
On the other hand, does this mean aussie points are the cheapest in PAL land?

Yeah, Australian Wii Points are the cheapest, check out this on wikipedia:

I always thought in the settings menu that you chose from any country?

only PAL territories, i tried to get to the US and it wasn't selectable.
