Freeloader works on the Wii

Wii News | Importers rejoice.
Many may already know this for fact, but even more are hearing it here first - the Freeloader, a disc which allows import GameCube games to be played in any region, will work on the Nintendo Wii.

The Wii touted GameCube backwards compatability from the beginning, and includes separate controller ports specifically for GC controllers. The Freeloader was a disc that worked wonders on the GC, but many were unsure about whether ot not the convenience would carry over onto the Wii. Over at GameVideos, our friends put the Wii through its paces in a variety of tests, so you know just what to expect come next Thursday.

The Freeloader experiment is about halfway through the video, but it's worth checking out in its entirety. But please kids - don't try this at home.

Yeah, I'm sure they will make one for Wii soon enough. When they do, I want one (definitely thinking of Brawl). Still, for all we know Brawl could be released at the same time here and in the U.S. That would be great. icon_smile.gif I can't wait any longer! icon_smile.gif Speaking of Wii, just one week to go! icon_biggrin.gif
