The Sims Wii officially confirmed

Wii News | First screenshots revealed.

EA has opened the official site for The Sims on the Wii. Scans of the game have been floating around the internet for a few days, but the official site has revealed some of the first images of the game.

Unfortunately little else about the game was revealed; the game looks remarkably different to the other Sims titles. Right now we're hoping more details will be revealed in due course, and online functionality would be the perfect companion for this game.

As soon as more information is revealed we'll report back, and we applaud EA for taking a new direction and not simply rehashing an older Sims title.

I'm confused over whether I'm meant to be insulted by this or happy that EA are revamping the series just for Wii.

I remain indifferent - until they revamp it to include gameplay that is even remotely interesting I don't care what they do to the visuals.

I agree with you there. Even though the visuals are not looking great, if they redid the gameplay and added some new aspects to the games, i would probably buy it. However if gameplay is similar and with those graphics, it is not on my to get list at the moment.

Teaser trailer here. Shows of character animations and expression of facial movements, I might add its incredibly japanese.
