Man if they bring out blast corps on the wii my life is forfeit.

Who owns the Blast Corps name though? DKC makes sense as DK = Nintendo, but is BC still owned by Rare or Nintendo?

Rare developed it so I'm hoping it's a Rare fully owned license.
*head explodes thinking of BC on 360* icon_drool.gif

petition now!!

I don't own the original DKC so that's great for me. Also I love a few of those megadrive titles even though I never owned a Megadrive so they're definately appealing.

Just need broadband though icon_smile.gif

I'm stoked about the Mega Drive titles, I missed my chance to play a lot of them so it'll be great to pick them up and have a run through or two.

What are the chances of PALGN (or other sites) reviewing the VC games, even with a 150 piece about each one and a mere yay or nay? I ask this as I have no clue about what retro games are good unless they have appeared on a Nintendo console (Only had Nintendo consoles from SNES to 64).

I guess I could look at old reviews if they are around, but it's nice to know if the games stand up today, are value for money and how they play on the Classic Controller.

That would be very cool, actually! I totally second that idea.
A little bit about the game, and the transfer quality, control, possibly value for money, etc. That'd be a really helpful feature for Wii early adopters who haven't had the pleasure of growing up with certain consoles/games.

Doooo itttt... you know you want to icon_smile.gif

We'll probably do some 'round up' features on VC and XBLA stuff sometime next year.

I hope for the N64 games they have Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. But I doubt it since they only appeared in America - has there been confirmation about whether we'll only get games that were originally released here?

I hope they do some Australian only releases that will appeal to a lot of people who are non gamers and also for the gamers to remember the glory days of International Cricket and Aussie Rules Football on the NES (funny enough they are still almost the best cricket and aussie rules games made...i know Super International Cricket was better...but still International Cricket wipes the floor with anything EA ever created). Also ARL96 came out on megadrive as a limited release....would pay $15 to own that.

I really do like the idea of the virtual console and can see myself spending the 2000 point card the day it is launched. And as Shadow.Guest list shows...there is a lot of games ahead just on N64 that could come to the virtual console. Also would love to see San Francisco Rush from the N64 on the virtual console.

I would be in heaven if they released Super International Cricket, that game rocked.

As far as I know Rare own the rights to the franchise but Nintendo own the code. As Nintendo own the rights to the DK characters plus the code for the three games, it was easy to add it to the Virtual Console.

Whether the same applies for Rare owned property though is another matter. In a way I'd like it if the old games could be re-released, but at the same time I wouldn't mind seeing Blast Corps or other sweet games receive sequels on the 360.
