New Wii compilation trailer

Wii News | Stunning surprises.
To complement the current worldwide information overload regarding the Wii, Nintendo has unveiled a new trailer for your discernible viewing pleasure. Many titles have been seen before, including Wii Sports and Super Mario Galaxy, but a few surprise seconds of footage from upcoming titles is also shown.

Early on in the video, what appears to be a scuba-diving simulation is featured. This shows deep sea adventuring with a whale shark and a large manta ray. Plenty of Japanese crazy-fool gaming is also shown, together with the new Trauma Centre and some interesting puzzle titles. Also featured is short footage of Harvest Moon Wii, a first look at a promising swamp/horror action-adventure game - and even a few brief seconds of the new Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.

Check out the full trailer at Nintendo's Japanese site, and stick around for the official Wii launch details in PAL regions, sure to be revealed within 24 hours.

Yeah, I just watched, I like what I see. Wii is looking good. Now tell me those European details! icon_smile.gif

Mario is the only Wii exclusive game in that trailer that looked remotely entertaining (no pun intended) to me icon_sad.gif

I just can't see any of those games being fun for more than 5 minutes, or playable without feeling stupid or "special" in my living room alone. How many of those games even have a story behind them? Story doesn't mean everything to a game to me, but it means something!

Wow, I am impressed.

OK, I dunno which video you were watching Spanca, but that is amazing. This is so GOOD, Nintendo games have some much charm and love in them, seriously I think Nintendo may be back this gen.

I was watching the same disgustingly pixelated, low quality shockwave video linked to in the article. Most of the games look like glorified flash games you'd play on the internet, but now with arm-waving action!

FIRE EMBLEM. icon_biggrin.gif

They'd better improve it over Path of Radiance. That game is slower than chess. The game itself looks pretty much identical to its predecessor though.

I also noticed Bleach, Harvest Moon (Which actually looks decent! ZOMG) and Biohazard Umbrella Chronicles (undoubtedly the best looking game of the lot).

Also, the Iron Knucle in Twilight Princess looks totally badarse.

Totally the EXACT same post as Cerebral, only add Samurai Warrior fanboyism.

Also that 'swamp/horror' game is Necro-Nesia. Was shown at E3, but slammed by previews.

The trailer showed every game coming out on the Wii in the next 6 months, so you're honestly saying the ONLY game currently announced for the Wii that you're interested in is Mario?

Well, to each his own I guess.

From what I could see in that trailer (and making out games in such low quality isn't easy), yes. That and Zelda, but that's Cube too.

That was very cool. I'm sold.

Yes. Some of the games looked awesome, but i think the graphics of that video could have been slightly better icon_lol_old.gif

Personally i prefer the un-pixelated (smaller version), but regardless the vid is the same in both, i just like the smaller resolution one *HERE*
