New Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz images surface

Wii News | Wave your hands like you just don't care.
Sega has sent us through the latest images for Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for the Wii. The game is certainly looking a lot better than when we saw the first images back at E3.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz will see the monkeys once again stuck in a giant ball trying to collect bananas. The game will include several new multiplayer modes as well as new mini games designed for the Wii controller.

The latest images can be found in the media panel, we'll have more information on Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz shortly.

When I compare this:

to this:

I think the former looks better, don't you?
the former is just blown up, if you shrink it down to half size (an extension for firefox lets you, thats what i did icon_razz.gif)

well you've missed the point I was making that Luke was being unfair to compare an 'old' image of a minigame with a 'new' image of a main game level which generally display alot more detail...

if I had made a comparison such as this:

NEW

OLD

which is old which is new? without checking, could you really spot the difference that Luke alludes to?

The only real difference I can see is that the new image has less objects... woo. Are you sure the bottom picture isn't the new one?

Firstly palmook, comparing a small image to a large image is obviously going to make the small one look better, and you know it.

Secondly, who cares?

What, an argument that i didn't instigate?

I feel so......worthless.icon_sad.gif

But a new milestone has been reached, we are now arguing over monkeys in balls.

well cerebral and anyone else struggling to grasp my point, that was not the intention of my post. If you re-read clearly you will see that I was pointing out that Luke was being unfair comparing 2 images of differing content not quality, which is a groundless comparison.

secondly, I care when people make up their own reality. The truth is, the game is not looking any different to how it looked at e3. icon_rolleyes.gif

You first questioned why Luke highlighted the fact they look better, and then you went on to criticise how Luke unfairly compared two very different images. I agree about comparing the mini-game shots with actual gameplay shots, but I personally think the new images look much clearer than the earlier shots.

While the differences are minimal, I still think there's a difference between the two shots.

Regardless, it looks like it could be a good title, and hopefully will rekindle the success of the first two.

Yes, I think it's a tad on the petty side to be criticising something so tiny, but I provided my reasoning, let's be done there mate. icon_smile.gif
