Unfortunately, nothing much was said about it, with only a few hints that Vivendi was looking at using party mechanics (pick-up-and-play) for Crash's Wii outing, proclaiming that it would be tailored for Nintendo's home console. As for a release date, nothing was mentioned, other than the fact we'll be seeing it in some shape or form in 2007.
On an interesting note, the last Crash game, Crash Tag Team Racing was in fact developed by Radical Entertainment, though the new DS game has been developed by Dimps. When questioned, Vivendi representatives said that the development of Crash Boom Bang was handed down to Dimps due to their expertise on handheld consoles. They continued by assuring that Radical Entertainment would still remain a part of future Crash Bandicoot games in terms development for home consoles.
Crash Boom Bang is currently a DS exclusive.
