Vivendi confirms Crash Bandicoot for Wii

Wii News | Now who didn't see this coming?
At a recent Vivendi-sponsored event to promote a new Crash Bandicoot spin-off game for the DS, Crash Boom Bang, some company representatives announced that a Crash game was in also development for the Wii.

Unfortunately, nothing much was said about it, with only a few hints that Vivendi was looking at using party mechanics (pick-up-and-play) for Crash's Wii outing, proclaiming that it would be tailored for Nintendo's home console. As for a release date, nothing was mentioned, other than the fact we'll be seeing it in some shape or form in 2007.

On an interesting note, the last Crash game, Crash Tag Team Racing was in fact developed by Radical Entertainment, though the new DS game has been developed by Dimps. When questioned, Vivendi representatives said that the development of Crash Boom Bang was handed down to Dimps due to their expertise on handheld consoles. They continued by assuring that Radical Entertainment would still remain a part of future Crash Bandicoot games in terms development for home consoles.

Crash Boom Bang is currently a DS exclusive.

Don't believe everything you read on the net is my theory especially when it comes to rumours about games like this one. Sure i hope that the rumour is true as the more games for the Wii the better but until i see some screen shots or a video of the game in action i won't believe it. Also it's interesting to know that a couple of gaming websites have dismissed the rumour of this game as false.

This news isn't oo surprising, they did announce a game for DS after all. That surprised me, originally.

I don't know, Spyro's next outing could be good. It's being made by Krome in Queensland, the guys behind Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. (Which leads me to believe that everything goes well for Krome, then Ty's next outing will probably be next gen).

Not going to happen.
I think this was a mix-up. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that this was a mistake. Check IGN's Wii channel, I think this is debunked in its rumour article.

It's been labelled as a rumor by IGN, it was denied by the developer.

He was once the Mascott of Playstation, then they shipped Him to Multiple Platforms and Killed Him, Crash Bandicoot is dying in my opinion, and in the last crash adventure"The Wrath of Cortex" it had so many glitches, sticky ridgid character movement and really bad frame rate, that I thought that was enough proof to consider the franchise dead

Who Knows Maybe if Crash on the Wii turns out to be a quality game, the series could pick up again, nothing will ever beat Crash Bandicoot 2 on the PS ONE In My Opinion!
