E3 2006: Madden for Wii screenshots and info

Wii News | Just how will the controller work?
As we reported last month, EA confirmed Madden would be coming to the then-titled Revolution console. A new team was set up specifically for the Wii version, and the game would make full use of the incredibly versatile motion sensing controller.

Well, EA has released eight screens of the game, and thankfully has spared us the 'models playing the game and having heaps of fun' way of showing us how the controller works - thankfully because we'd hate to even imagine what kind of 'hardcore' gamer EA would dredge up for such a shoot. Instead, half the screens are the training screens in the game, showing how the player will use the motion sensing for a variety of moves. As for the game itself, well, it's certainly not up to the 360 version's level. Will players trade rendered sweat for finer (and possibly more intuitive and immersive) control? We'll find out later this year when Madden launches for both 360 and Wii (Note: This is not a type, EA has confirmed there will be no Madden 06 for PS3).

Game controls look very innovative, but extremely complex. That'd take time getting used to.
