E3 2006: Metroid Prime 3 images

Wii News | Looks the same, plays totally differently...
Red Steel seems to have stolen most of the shooter thunder for the Wii, but as we all know, there's another FPS on the way for the system, in the form of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Just like Red Steel, players control Samus by moving with the Nunchuk controller and aiming with the pointer. All the classic Metroid power-ups will return, including the Grapple Beam and Morph Ball, as well as some promised surprises. the only plot detail we know at the moment is that Samus' mission is to save several planets this time (from an evil but as of yet undefined force known as 'the Corruption'), and that it will conclude the Prime series by having Samus defeat Metroid Prime (aka Dark Samus) one and for all.

Playable on the floor at E3, we hope to give you some hands on impressions of Corruption very soon!
