E3 2006: Square announce two for Wii

Wii News | Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Direct from Square.

Live from their pre-E3 show, Square Enix has come out of the blocks and announced a Dragon Quest title for the Wii, Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors, as well as the expected Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles title that was announced last year.

There are currently no specific details on any of the titles and how they’ll play. However, we can assure that Crystal Chronicles, entitled Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers, will have a huge part to do with Nintendo’s online plan for the Wii, and that Dragon Quest is in fact a Wii launch title.

The two games are expected to be unveiled in tomorrow at Nintendo’s pre-E3 conference.

Excellent, Dragon Quest is alaunch title! I didn't see this opne coming, I've got to get that.

Dragon Quest Sword is different from Dragon Quest RPG. I kind of expected Square-Enix to release this game on Wii anyway. No big surprise here.

How is it different, I'm not sure. Still, if it's got Dragon Quest in the name, I'm still interested.
