The Last Story Limited Edition announced

Wii News | Nintendo of Europe on the case.
Good things come to those who wait. Following up the bundle packs and included soundtrack for the PAL release of Xenoblade Chronicles, Nintendo is preparing a special Limited Edition of the upcoming The Last Story, which we confirmed for a local release.

The limited edition of The Last Story, pictured below, is set to contain a copy of the game housed in a fancy steel-book case, a mini art book showcasing environment and character art from the game, and a seven track soundtrack CD.

The package is being set up by Nintendo of Europe, which means we may only see a local release of the game by itself. Whether or not this special edition is put on our shelves is up to Nintendo of Australia. Luckily those desperate for the complete package will be able to import from Europe with no compatibility issues.

The Last Story is scheduled for an European release on 24 February 2012. A local date has yet to be announced.

Hmm... I already have the sampler soundtrack and artbook from the JP version, which is probably the same as this. Will have to check prices to decide which version to get.

Cannot wait to get this game, looking forward to another game by Mistwalker studios. (Sakaguchi and Uematsu the artists responsible for the real Final Fantasy games)

Yay, another amazing Wii RPG for me to completely ignore like Xenoblade and Skyward Sword. I can't be bothered with the whole console, for some reason.

That's not to say I don't buy them, I just don't play them

Hey i agree, i only bought a Wii for Xenoblade Chronicles.(in fact i bought the game before i bought a Wii) I would love for it to be on 360 or PS3. I will always buy a quality game to reward the creators regardless of platform. I mean i WANT them to have the money to make more. Its a no brainer.

I wouldn't exactly call buying a game you can't play a "no brainer".
Why not just support developers on the platforms you own?

Because the developers i want to support are also bringing out games on platforms i didnt own, so i buy the platform just for them. icon_smile.gif Problem solved icon_wink.gif

Oh, that makes sense. I thought you were supporting developers of games that you'd never ever play.
